Job description

We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant for our very busy orthopedic practice who has experience in clinical work that may include casting/DME and injections.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assist the provider as he/she treats patients in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Friendly professionalism a must.

· Must possess strong computer skills with knowledge of EMRs

· Ensure that all necessary documents are present before the patient visit

· Escort patients to and from the exam room

· Assist doctor in clinic, to include reviewing patient’s medical information, preparing injections, casting/DME, following doctor orders

· Verify doctor orders are appropriately documented

· Monitor messages and respond in a timely manner with appropriate documentation

· Obtain lab results, when needed

· E-Prescribing and PDMP

· Ability to multi-task and communicate with fellow staff

· Be prepared to help out where a need exists in the office

· Willingness and ability to learn new office functions

The jobholder must demonstrate a “Team Spirit” attitude with competencies applicable to the job position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
