Job description
Medical billing office in Los Angeles seeking an experienced part-time insurance specialist with billing knowledge. Currently looking for three 4-hour shifts per week (12 hours per week). One of those days could be on the weekend. The weekdays must be during business hours 9am to 5pm, but the set shift is flexible. We may add more hours after 3 months time.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who is eager to learn new skills; a team player that possesses great customer service. This position requires self motivation at all steps.
Job Summary
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits electronically
- Request authorization and follow-up on their status
- Follow-up on assigned insurance claims
- Reconcile insurance deposit batches
- Post ERAs/EFTs and any mailed in payments
- Ensures accuracy of system posting
- Will work closely with owner as an assistant
- More responsibility may be added as job description will develop over time
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
