Laporte Consultants is looking for a remote 2-3D Engineering Designer who will work closely with our engineering teams to draw and support HVAC, plumbing and electrical modification and new building project for a variety of facilities in different industries. This role can be performed either remotely or locally in one of our three offices in King of Prussia, PA, Chicago, IL or Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Prepare, based on sketches and other data, drawings and diagrams of mechanical and electrical systems, including:

• Plumbing and ventilation systems 3D modeling and 2D drafting (building mechanical systems);
• Plant layout;
• Process piping systems;
• Electrical conduit networks, equipment location and room layout;
• Different utility (steam, chilled water, compressed air etc…) diagrams;

• Manage project drawings sets, drawing lists, title blocks;

• Apply the company's design, drafting and quality standards;

• Perform surveys at construction sites;

• Perform design/drafting support for offsite manufacturing plants

• Coordinate the integration of other disciplines within the project

• Participate in remote client meetings as required to coordinate standards and assist in design and modeling

• Create discipline specific and detailed component models for overlay and visual purposes

Key requirements:

Qualifications:

• Experience in Revit, Autocad 2D

• 1-5 years of experience in modeling and drawing for manufacturing facilities, ideally in food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, or other environments that require bulk, fluid, and sterile processes

• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organization and prioritization
