The hotel is positioned as a four-star accommodation, with all the amenities supporting that statement, including a full day Spa due to open in November ; impeccable service delivery and excitement – a “buzz” – about the destination are paramount to its success.

Spa Serein at Silver Cloud Tacoma at Ruston Waterfront is looking for enthusiastic nail technicians interested in a long-term career in their new flagship spa.

A nail technician Spa Serein at Silver Cloud Tacoma at Ruston Waterfront will have an in-depth knowledge of nail care services along with at least three years of hands-on experience. The technician will be required to perform, manicures and pedicures, along with acrylic and gel repairs.

The nail technician will be paid an hourly rate along with a fee per service and when not performing services, will assist with some tasks within the facility. The technician will also receive gratuities. Commissions on retail sales will also be paid.

Spa Serein will offer as much scheduling flexibility as possible; however, the facility will be open most days of the years with evening and weekend hours. Flexibility is important to the success of the facility.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform all nail services offered in a timely manner with precision.
• Assures each guest has an exceptional nail service experience.
• Performs services as trained in the time allotted.
• Carefully reviews the intake for contraindications. Enquire about guests' medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services.
• Performs professional recommendations for retail products to all guests.
• Maintain detailed records in the spa software for therapies performed on each spa guest.
• Communicate with guests during the nail services to determine their needs and expectations. Must be able to converse in English.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, maintain pedicure log and disinfectant standards, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before and after each use.
• Follow all COVID 19 related sterilization and sanitation requirements prior to each treatment in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Ensure the assigned area is adequately stocked with proper supplies and report shortages to the Spa Management.
• Follow all policies and procedures outlined by Spa Serein.

Requirements:

• Valid Washington State Cosmetology License or Nail Technician License
• Minimum three years of hands-on nail experience preferred.
• Patience, professionalism and respect for Spa guests
• Exceptional customer service skills
