We have an exciting new opportunity to support the implementation and execution of the New Services Development (NSD) process across Construction Industries (CI) and enterprise partners as the New Services Development Program Consultant. This position will support doubling services growth and support the 5 Breakthroughs: CVAs, Rebuilds, Sales and Service PSEs, eCommerce Activation.

Develops a robust method to track all NSD programs across the enterprise through Construction Industries Service Division (CISD).

Lead the execution of Business Unit focused NSD projects; establish the project plan and manage New Services delivery; plan and manage resources for implementing changes; assist in evaluating requests; provide business partners overview on the NSD process as well as coaching for successful implementation.

Specifically, as the New Services Development Program Consultant, you can expect to:

Manages NSD projects to ensure on time, within budget, and aligned with the CISD strategy. Assists in prioritizing projects based on enterprise impact and objectives. Assists in assembling the business case for project requests. Identifies training needs for NSD team members and initiates NSD related coaching & development opportunities.

Builds relationships with each Construction Industries machine business division and extended enterprise divisions. Partners with the CISD GTM (Go To Market) and CISD Sales Execution teams in marketing Services to dealers.

Responsibilities include establishing and achieving target costs; establish and achieve reliability targets; establish and achieve timetables; execute the NSD Process and identify critical customer and business requirements; guide concept selection and the identification and achievement of program requirements and technical specifications; shorten resolution times; achieve commercial sustainability; assure process conformance; and determine, justify and monitor capital investments.

Develops project plans based on risk assessment and reviews all research, test & development and marketing plans to ensure successful services introduction. Identifies cost containment opportunities. Identifies trends and areas of focus for continuous improvement.

The position's primary customers are internal. The position is challenged to identify problems quickly and correctly, which may not be obvious. The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within the NSD framework. The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve desired results. Except for the most complex or high impact situations, work is reviewed in Gateway 7. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc. The position monitors and reports on key quality measures for the measure(s) stated.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • 4-year college or university degree
  • 6-8 years job-related experience
    • Job related experiences includes the following: new product introduction, process execution, project management, analysis and metrics reporting
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, product applications
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work with diverse groups to reach consensus is required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, development of others or to persuade others inside and outside of the division / BU to take specific action
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Project management certification or training (Agile, PMP, NPI/NTI, Six-Sigma)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
  • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Should have a solid working knowledge of company policies and practices

Additional Details:

  • Locations: Peoria, IL; Cary, NC or Dallas, TX
  • 5-15% of travel is expected
  • ISE assignment is not available for this position
  • Off hours meetings are expected with flexible work arrangements
  • English is required (written and verbal)
