NAEP is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students at all levels, from kindergarten to 12 grade. EXPERIENCE IN A SCHOOL IS HIGHLY PREFERRED. We are currently conducting interviews for substitute teachers, teacher aides, and assistant teachers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.

• Carrying out the professional duties of a classroom teacher
• Adhering to school policies and school district policies
• Possessing a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive classroom environment
• Reporting for scheduled work reliably and punctually
• Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate
• Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
• Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
• Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
• Supervise students out of class such as in the hallways and in the cafeteria
• Create lesson plans, grade classwork, homework and tests

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Associate’s Degree or similar level of college coursework
• Strong command of English language
• Spanish language fluency (HIGHLY PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED)
• Average competency in most or all subjects.
• Flexible, friendly and good at establishing positive, encouraging relationships with students.
• Ability to set the proper tone from the beginning for classroom management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120.00 per day
