Located in Henderson, Nevada, approximately twenty-five minutes from the notorious Las Vegas, Nevada strip, Touro University Nevada is a non-profit medical, health sciences, and education graduate university focused on positively impacting our community in healthcare and education. Touro University Nevada (Touro) is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the daily operations of the University and provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Director of Projects and Operations.

This position is a vital member of the University and will work with a wide range of people to support Touro’s mission to provide quality education programs in the fields of health care and education in concert with the Judaic commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity.

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting with daily business activities and works independently to provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Senior Director of Projects, with additional direction given by operational department leads. This is a dynamic position that includes operational project support and data-related tasks.

The position requires an individual to maintain confidentiality and project a professional image at all times. The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to resolve problematic situations quickly with a good eye for detail. The candidate shall demonstrate excellent customer service skills when dealing with the various campus constituencies.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist the COO with daily operational activities and monitor progress of departmental priorities.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Projects in managing university initiatives and projects, support of event management activities, and encouraging cross-departmental collaboration and communication.
  • Provide a high-level of administrative and confidential support for the COO and Senior Director.
  • Maintain the COO and Senior Director’s calendars to include arranging and coordinating meetings and appointments with multiple attendees.
  • Assist with the management of daily operational activities and give support to operational team members specifically including event management and project management.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks as assigned to ensure project delivery within allotted budget and timeline.
  • Work in a timely and efficient manner to arrange and book travel, create comprehensive itineraries, and prepare expense reports as needed.
  • Track departmental expense budget and facilitate the procurement of items requested in accordance with University procedures and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain clear and accurate documents and reports for reference purposes following office management principles and procedures for efficient business operations.
  • Manage office supplies and the maintenance of office equipment.
  • Assemble, prepare, and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and supplemental materials (attend meetings as appropriate); maintain personal and departmental electronic files.
  • Assist in drafting operational correspondence and newsletters.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines despite interruptions.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in carrying out all responsibilities.
  • Take initiative in problem-solving and ensure matters requiring attention are handled appropriately; work effectively in stressful situations.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business related field required.

Experience: 2+ years of work experience in a similar role.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to keep information confidential and promote a collegial work environment.
  • Ability to always project a professional image and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video conferencing applications.
  • Proficient in technology and general office equipment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies (software and hardware) with training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with remote and in-person team members and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
