Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Transporter to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Hours/Shift:

Friday can be evening or day hours

Saturday is 7am to 3:30pm

Sunday is 7:30am to 4pm

Department/Position Overview:

This position will primarily be responsible for transporting patients between our Emergency Department and our CAT scan department. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and customer service skills that is punctual.

Being a Patient Transporter with Sentara: Safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.

Job Requirements:

• Required: High School Grad or Equivalent
• Required: Basic Life Support
• Required: Communication, Technology/Computer experience
• Preferred: Patient Care experience
