The Service Professional will perform Pest and Termite control services for our commercial and residential customers. These services include inspections, interior and exterior treatments, mosquito control, termite bait station installation, etc. Our customers need a problem solver to diagnose and provide solutions for pest and termite problems that may occur. The successful professional for this role has the desire to work outdoors, has proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers, and brings a positive attitude to work each day.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains the overall health and appearance of the customer's property by reducing the pest populations
• Provides professional, prompt and courteous customer service
• Applies pesticides to the interior and exterior of homes according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
• Performs seasonal mosquito treatments with a backpack blower
• Keeps up to date of the company's product and service offerings
• Drives a company vehicle safely to customer's homes and businesses
• Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance
• Performs daily truck inspections
• Completes required paperwork along with proper communication
• Maintains company phone and any equipment associated with it
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of facility
• Represents Killingsworth with honesty and integrity
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Performs other related duties as required

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills
• Solid problem-solving skills and proven time management
• Able and willing to work in various weather conditions
• Ability to operate application equipment safely & effectively
• Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
• You must hold and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 -3 years of experience in the pest control industry preferred but not required
• NC registered technician training is a plus but not required to be considered

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely operate equipment
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times throughout the workday
• Ability to tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to seasonal weather (extreme heat or cold)
• Subject to exposure to animals and insects being outdoors for much of the day
• Must be able to perform inspections in attics and crawl spaces

COVID-19 considerations: PPE is required, and masks/face coverings are required for customer-facing positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
