Role Summary
Responsible for the equipment located at the Packaging and Inspection Facilities. Develops and executes business plans for the maintenance engineering units that are aligned with the strategic goals of the overall organization. Leads troubleshooting technical problems for equipment and systems to quickly resolve any issues. Provide support to the maintenance group with a working knowledge of EAMS, Quality systems and aseptic work practices. Provide technical support on a variety of operational activities such as developing and recommending procedures and methods, preparing technical reports and documentation, and performing mechanical/electrical or other related maintenance. Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action. Work involves reading drawings and product manuals to diagnose problems, then using a variety of tools to make adjustments or repairs. Require working with manufacturers or ordering parts, supplies and support to resolve technical issues.
Role Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot technical problems for equipment and systems to quickly resolve any issues.
- Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action.
- Communicates with vendors to identify and remedy machine issues, implementing change within an aseptic environment.
- Customer focused with production to determine process challenges and mitigate downtime.
- Document engineering work in a timely manner and in a manner consistent with cGMP standards
- Drive and support engineering continuous improvement projects.
- Working closely with other departments to support manufacturing investigations, MDCP CAPAs to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Equipment SME to support FMEA’s performance trending.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electric and automaton concepts and practices
- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems.
- Knowledge of failure analysis and detection of failure modes to prevent equipment breakdown.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of engineering/maintenance.
- Understands design participation, process & equipment commissioning FAT/SAT and equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQ
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electric and automation concepts and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems.
- Knowledge of failure analysis and detection of failure modes to prevent equipment breakdown.
