An established local plumbing contractor is looking to hire a hardworking, dedicated, and professional team member to work in the Greater Toronto Area. This is an opportunity for a 1st year or higher Plumbing Apprentice in good standing with OCOT to build a career with a great company and team. Previous Experience in High-End Residential, High-Rise Commericial, Retail, Food Processing Plants, and Industrial 24-hour Service work is considered an asset.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers to read blueprints and install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems. Tasks include determining pipe positions, passage holes and fixtures, cutting openings, joining pipes, testing, and measuring, cutting, threading and bending pipes to suit.

• Accurately complete work orders

• Work with project managers, office staff and customers to complete projects

• Identify, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner

• Solid knowledge and comprehension of the Ontario Plumber Code

• Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Tenacity and the determination to get things done in a timely manner

• Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Valid Ontario G class driver’s license with a good driving record

• Safety certified for working in construction (WAH, WHMIS, Workers Health & Safety)
