Product Performance Lead
Job description:
The Well & Flow Control Organization is focused on the design, delivery and product maintenance of Subsea Production Equipment used to transport hydrocarbons between the subsea wellhead and the subsea pipeline. (e.g. Trees, Manifolds, Jumper, PLETs)
Product Performance engineers support customer-facing organizations working with our Well & Flow Control products by providing technical assistance, triage support, performance trend monitoring, access to product expertise, and product improvements. Product Performance Engineers provide an essential feedback loop to fully understand the total value stream performance of Well & Flow Control Products, which enables annual business justification and investments to improve or develop products.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitors product performance trends of Well & Flow Control products, identifies product improvement and new product development opportunities.
- Evaluates value proposition and make business justification based on business priorities for investment by Technical Management.
- Leads multiple failure investigations, including identifying, executing, and implementing corrective actions and product improvements.
- Leads or directs problem-solving to improve underperforming products through the full value stream of our Well & Flow Control Products (design, supply chain, manufacturing, installation and life of field operations)
- Provides technical guidance and rapid response to resolve offshore performance issues
- Manages multiple internal customer demands and prioritizes the team's work to minimize operational downtime and increase asset utilization
- Supports direct client communications for expertise on product performance issues
- Accountable for the reporting of priority, return on investment, classification, and any other characteristics of proposed product improvements to engineering and technical management.
- Provides oversight of budgets for the execution of product improvement scopes.
- Leads collaboration networks globally with peers, technical experts, and Technical Authorities on performance-based issues, product improvements, and operational learnings.
- Utilizes corporate knowledge management tools, to share and gain technical knowledge around product performance issues and learnings.
- Develops and approves creative solutions to cross-organizational, complex, and obstacle-ridden problems, to bring full lifecycle stability for our products globally.
- Applies sound engineering principles to achieve results with the safety and health of people and the environment at the forefront of their priority.
- Mentors and guides the professional & technical development of other engineers.
You are meant for this job if:
- BS degree in Engineering
- At least 10 years of engineering experience
- TechnipFMC Well & Flow Control product knowledge is strongly preferred
- Highly effective communication skills
- Advanced technical skills in engineering

- Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent training and mentoring skills
- A high degree of resourcefulness
- Demonstrated ability to work in situations of ambiguity, recommending process for completing assigned tasks where previously not defined

- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the country, without sponsorship.
Work Environment:
Spends a 85-90% of the time in an office environment and/or 10-15% in a shop environment. Visiting the shop environment may require short periods of lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Occasional domestic or international travel (typically not exceeding 1-2 weeks).
Physical Demands:
Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Some potential exposure to possible shop hazards when visiting the shop/field environment that includes high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic.
