Sweeping up slugs would sound kinda nasty if we’re talking about the little bugs. But when it’s metal slugs and scraps, it’s a whole easier ballgame. If you like to put a podcast in your earbuds and work independently, you care about attention to detail, and have a passion for keeping everyone’s workplace safe and clean we need you on our team asap!For 54 years, our company has been a leading manufacturer in metal products right here in West Michigan. We take pride in the cleanliness and safety of our facility in West Olive, MI and we are filling a full time janitorial position immediately who can anchor this mission. A clean workplace is a safe workplace, and that’s why we’re looking for you.
Here’s a look at your job responsibilities:
- Clean lunchroom, restrooms and manufacturing area’s daily.
- Sweep up slugs thrown by punch presses; dump in slug container.
- Pick up scrap parts and throw away in designated container.
- Pick up and dump all other trash in either regular trash dumpster or in card board dumpster.
- Clean building area.
- Clean saw department and tool room areas.
- Clean the upper level offices daily.
- Assist in sorting packing supplies (banding, blocks, paper).
- Assist with material handling when requested.
- Any other duties as assigned by team leader.
- Wear PPE as required.
- Factory janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and achieve goals.
- Good attendance history.
- First shift pay starts at $14. Third shift at $15 per hour.
- Casual dress code (hoodies, tennis shoes, t-shirts, long shorts are all ok!)
- The opportunity to make extra cash with OT
