The Immokalee Foundation is a non-profit organization that has a focused and disciplined approach to providing supplemental educational support with measurable outcomes for the children in the school system in Immokalee Florida. Our program delivers an abundance of instructional guidance with financial assistance for post-secondary education and career exploration and attainment.

The Immokalee Foundation provides educational support systems that empower children in Immokalee’s schools to complete their primary and secondary education, graduating from high school with the skills, accountability, and motivation to advance to either a post-secondary educational opportunity or to an immediate career, without the need for further academic remediation; thereby increasing and/or promoting entrepreneurial and job development opportunities for low income persons residing within the Immokalee community.

Work assignments are well defined and subject to continuous review as to progress and results.

The Education & Human Services Pathway Coordinator monitors and addresses attendance, academic, and overall progress of career readiness within the education & human services pathway. The Education & Human Services Pathway Coordinator is responsible for supporting 9th through 12th grade students at Immokalee High School. The Education & Human Services Pathway Coordinator works closely with appropriate staff to ensure the mission of the foundation is intact and all policies and procedures of the foundation are followed. The Program Coordinator is responsible to work with the Program Services Director in an effort to provide guidance in the areas of program effectiveness, growth and sustainability, student performance, and public relations.

Minimum Qualifications

· Desire to work with students. Previous experience working with youth is a plus.

· Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability.

· Education and/or Human services experience is preferred.

· College degree is preferred.

· Must be able to pass a background screening.

· Drug-Free

Responsibilities:

● Establish a rapport with education & human services pathway participants. Assist them in completing their pathway-specific requirements and certifications.

● Supervise potential teachers and college-level tutors to carry out the curriculum of the programs.

● Assist potential teachers and college-level tutors in program logistics, including

attendance, meals, data collection, etc.

● Ensure a sustainable level of student enrollment by promoting the education & human

services pathway, creating flyers and promotional materials, and presenting to interested

groups of students and parents.

● Organize student internships within the education & human services pathway by

connecting with partners and discussing logistics.

● Collaborate on the goals and objectives for The Immokalee Foundation pathway

programs.

● Maximize school system support with the assistance of the Program Services Director.

● Identify potential problems and intervene as necessary to ensure student success. This

may include, but is not limited to: leveraging the services of affiliated organizations,

leveraging school system resources, and/or direct interaction with students and/or

parents.

● Contribute knowledge-sharing efforts through participation in seminars, conference calls, surveys, etc.

● Work with school staff to utilize school facilities for program needs.

● Arrange field trips and guest speakers to further the educational experiences of

education & human services pathway students.

● Collect data that will give statistics on programs that reflect program effectiveness.

● Solicit the assistance of the Program Services Director as needed for intervention and

support.

● Assist other programs as requested or needed.

● Other duties as assigned by President & CEO or Program Services Director.
