Service Credit Union is seeking a Project Manager where you will lead teams within a matrix environment to successfully execute and complete projects in support of multiple business areas. Serves as the primary liaison between business and technical teams and stakeholders by providing functional support for various systems and/or applications. Identifies, analyzes, and translates needs into specifications
Pay: Salaried position based on experience.
Hours: Full time, Monday Friday, 8:30 5:00
Work location: Portsmouth, NH base with Hybrid option

The Day to Day:
- Ability to manage both Waterfall and Agile Project Delivery methods.
- Collaborate with a team of Project Managers/Coordinators, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, I.T., vendors, etc. to effectively deliver projects/initiatives. Ensure the stakeholders are aware of what they need to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- This position must be able to simultaneously manage multiple IT projects and support a number of business areas. You will function as Relationship Manager to a small number of business area managers in order to enhance communication between the business side and IT, as well as to elicit project requests, requirements, and business area strategy.
- As a member of the Project Management Office, primary responsibility will be to adhere to, and contribute to the ongoing development, of the Project Management Methodology.
- The Project Manager must be able to present complex data/concepts in a simplified, understandable, and meaningful way. Prepare project charter and develop detailed project plans including detailed scope statements, schedule and budget estimates and baselines, resource plans, risk management plans, and success/acceptance criteria.
- Perform in an Agile environment by training and coaching teams across the organization to operate in lean/agile delivery framework such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Assist with continuous improvement/growth plans for the project team and decrease time to market, optimize testing efforts, and improve CI/CD processes.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in project management, business administration or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a project manager.
- PMP certification preferred.Demonstrated expertise in an array of formal project management methodologies including waterfall, agile, Scrum, etc.
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and complexityProficient in Microsoft Office, Project, & VisioSolid business knowledge and budget management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills, and a strong attention to detailExperience with banking systems and technologies and their relationship to business functions, practices, and processes preferredStrong interpersonal skills and ability to solicit participation and input from others, including the ability to establish strong rapport and credibility with business teamsKnowledge of and experience with software development teams, industry best practices, regulations & compliance, and quality assurance techniques
