Marsh has an exciting opening for a Property Valuation Consultant within the Marsh Advisory team who provides property valuation support to a a wide variety of residential, retail, municipal and commercial clients.

We will count on you to:
Client Service:
- Work with Risk Managers and Facility Operations Managers to understand their schedule of assets and valuation priorities
- Conduct field visits to evaluate property replacement cost.
- Provide specific technical valuations resource support.
- Liaise with insurers, account executives, marketing, claims and outside consultants.
- Performs reviews, confirms client expectations, and monitors client satisfaction of deliverables and services.
Project Management:
- Act as project manager for valuations activity for Marsh Advisory clients.
- Leverage Marsh Advisory international resources for support.
- Work alongside international Marsh Advisory colleagues to ensure consistent work product.
- Responsible for developing and managing profitable project budget, as well as negotiating changes.
- Responsible for the development and securing of client service agreements.
- Complies with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting and billing.
Client Development:
- Develops new and expanded business opportunities.
- Seek to create additional value and insights for our clients by leveraging the various Marsh Advisory practices.
- Coordinates business development activities (e.g. seminars, mailings, etc.).
- Directs, performs, or reviews research (e.g. reviews annual report, financial data, benchmarking, etc) for business development purposes.
- Utilize and develop spheres of influence to develop new and expanded business.
What makes you stand out:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in replacement cost valuations is preferred.
- Experience in using industry accepted valuation tools such as Corelogic/Marsh & Swift
- Experience in complex industrial and machinery valuations are an asset.
- Holds appropriate licensing.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Professional designations (AACI, CRA, etc.) are an asset.
- Broker, insurer, or third party/private sector experience preferred.
