GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for understanding, upholding and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors, 1) Safety First! 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction. Promote OEG’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Primary duties include: We strive to provide consistent, dependable purchasing practices to support our internal and external customers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Primary contact for incoming request for call in purchase orders
- Build and maintain data base of vendors that supply OEG materials
- Follow-up on payment terms, as well as change orders
- Expedite deliveries and conduct follow-up procedures as necessary with field employees
- Coordinate invoice issues with vendors and accounting department
- Assemble packets into system on purchase orders processed
- Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor line cards
- Track returns to vendors from inception to completion of a credit from vendor
- Coordinate invoice issues with Accounting Department, Field Personnel and Purchasing to be processed in a timely payment manner to capture payment terms negotiated with vendors
- Provide support in managing weekly pricing files
- Coordinate equipment transfers as well as jobsite office trailers on the paperwork end
- Download orders from Material Management to Spectrum
- Perform additional duties as assigned
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Working knowledgeable of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, accounting, and business contract language as it pertains to the purchasing function
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to bring projects to completion on time
- Have strong organizational skill sets
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational and experience requirements include: Two year technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of education and procurement experience. Candidate should have a minimum, two years office experience. Construction or Purchasing experience preferred.
