Due to a retirement, a profitable, non-automotive manufacturer with excellent employee tenure is hiring a Quality Coordinator. Daily you will report to the VP of Operations and will be responsible for day-to-day plant quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating with production and engineering to maintain and improve quality standards
- Creating and updating work instructions
- Following guidelines for industry standards
- Completing required testing and reporting in the quality lab and on the manufacturing floor
- Serving as the point of contact for auditors
- Supplying quality support to the production lines and completing any needed investigations
- Assisting others in learning gage calibration requirements and standards
- Leading root cause analysis and establishing corrective actions
- Completing internal quality audits
- Communicating with customers on any quality concerns or issues
- Supplying quality results and metrics on a regular basis to the management team
- Other duties as delegated by management
This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day, conducting quality line support. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, have good floor presence, be positive and able to coach others related to quality initiatives. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Coordinator:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma with at least two years of similar manufacturing quality experience
2. Experience working in manufacturing environments

3. Working knowledge of RCA and corrective actions
4. Experience performing hands-on inspection and testing
5. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
6. Microsoft Word and Excel experience

2. 8D problem solving
3. Mechanical aptitude
