Job description
The Race Crew coordinates and runs ski/snowboarding races and special events.
Race Crew Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Register groups for ski/snowboard races and special events.
- Collect payment from participants.
- Set up and dismantle race courses.
- Set up and dismantle safety fences to separate race courses from the general public.
- Register groups at welcoming functions and special events.
- Organize and prepare equipment for the following race/special event.
- The department may assign other duties.
Race Crew Qualifications:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This employee must carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles.
