Receiving Associate Job Description

Responsible for accurate inbound receiving of external vendor parts and indirect items. Resolving discrepancies with warehouse management and purchasing team

Principal Responsibilities:

• Unload inbound containers, full and LTL loads utilizing a forklift in a safe manner
• Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments and purchase orders. Maintains retention of Vendor Bill of Lading.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Communicate and manage exceptions including receiving discrepancies and damages, working with warehouse management and purchasing team.
• May be subject to perform other warehouse activities such a picking and shipping

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 1 year receiving and warehouse experience
• Minimum 1 year WMS experience, NetSuite WMS preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a stand-up and sit-down forklift.
• Computer skills in processing paperwork, reporting damages/discrepancies, and WMS (Netsuite)
• Microsoft Outlook experience required
