Position Summary:
Coordinates Cancer Center Revenue Cycle steps including but not limited to: pre-authorization, medical necessity review, physician education/communication, charge review and updates, assist with indigent drug programs, copay assistance programs, billing questions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field preferred or 5 years of work experience in place of degree accepted. Minimum of three to five years experience in a hospital business office, financial planning department or physician office. Previous management of or close involvement with the Charge Description Master, Service Master or other system wide charging repository. Thorough understanding of billing compliance with government programs (Medicare, Medicaid and Champus) specifically the assignment of revenue codes, CPT4 codes and HCPCS codes. Strong financial skills with the ability to interpret Federal and State regulations and understand how they apply to our various business lines. Ability to perform diverse tasks with firm deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and quality. Requires an experienced Windows, Excel, and Word user. Must be computer literate. Requires the ability to grasp new concepts quickly. Must possess effective communication skills with the capability of communicating with various levels of management.
Required Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- Associate's Degree
Accounting, Finance or other related field.
- CERTIFIED HEMATOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY CODER
