Summary of the Role and Responsibilities:

The Risk Training and Alignment (RTA) manager will

  • Oversee the organization's comprehensive insurance and legal risk management program, as well as training of SOP’s across all departments, and maintaining company alignment with training, SOPs etc.
  • Ensure alignment of employee policies and training with the stated business goals of the organization. assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization
  • Elevating risk issues to insurance claims instead of being handled directly through a sales and persuasion process
  • Conducts risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends.
  • Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organization's services and departments.
  • Make sure that SOPs are being followed the exact same way every time to guarantee that the organization remains consistent and in compliance with industry regulations and business standards.
  • Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
  • Reviews all legal obligations of all management contracts and agreements for the company with stated goals, and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
  • Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, intercompany agreements, new employee handbook editions, new training protocols, or recovery measures.
  • Reviews and analyzes metrics and data such as cash flow, inventory, breakage, and employee activity that could uncover fraudulent behavior.
  • Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff.
  • Drafts and presents additional policy statements, employee procedures and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff.
  • Coordinates directly with all managers to ensure departmental trainings are in compliance and ensure that all managers have clear SOP’s, and that the training is executed and documented for every teammate.
  • Collaborates in the design of a sales and persuasion presentation to be used at the moment of incident to mitigate risk and filing of claims.
  • Lead the risk task force at each property and standardize the culture training compliance.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field required.
  • At least one year of related experience is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
