The scientist I is r esponsible to manage paid service customer specific technical projects. Works directly with external Biotech customers and internal commercial teams to define, implement, and execute customer specific technical projects. Required to generate specific test protocols and reports to support customer requests. The incumbent is assigned responsibility for projects of basic complexity.
Responsible for assigned projects of basic complexity with guidance and direction.
Technical consultation with customers (internal and external) , involving validation basic standard testing plans and data review, test recommendations based on regulatory knowledge and expectations.
Collaborate with external customer to determine scope of required project and ensure studies are designed to meet expectations.
Close teamwork and communication, with the lab team to ensure all test requirements are in place.
Interpret laboratory data and prepare specific test reports to meet customer expectations.
Maintain close customer and commercial liaison during projects. This will involve some or all of the following:
Update customers (internal and external) of project status regularly
Answer basic customer technical questions
Travel to customer site for technical meetings
Provide basic standard presentations and training to customers (internal and external)
Establish project priorities and decide appropriate action required to meet required target dates
Schedule work into the laboratory in conjunction with the laboratory team
Update team manager of status of assigned projects, including completion, delays or problems
Document and report project progress
Maintain an up to date knowledge of current regulatory trends, issues and guidelines relating to the products being supported.
Attend training courses as required and assist with training of new staff.
Support basic complexity internal project work in support of R&D, NPI, NPD, QC release testing, etc as required by management.
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related filed.
Technical project management - Strong Microbiology background
Good knowledge of own scientific discipline and broader capabilities
Solves basic problems; provides countermeasures using technical experience.
Explains technical information to customers
Expertise in limited Pall Biotech technologies
Basic k nowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desire to work closely with a diverse team and team player.
Conversant with PC based programs.
