CASHIER

JOB SUMMARY

Supports the store leadership team by performing customer service activities at the cash counter.The Cashier embodies the ALDO Group’s values of integrity, love and respect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides prompt and professional service to customers, assists in the store administration and keeps the cash area neat and orderly.
• Operates the POS register efficiently.
• Adheres to and enforces loss prevention and security policies, credit policies and procedures, i.e. credit cards, deposit logs, return and exchange policies.
• Verifies merchandise to avoid mismatches (mixes) and packages all merchandise with care.
• Suggests items that meet customers’ needs (gift cards, shoe care products, accessories, etc.).
• Supports the store management in developing our customer base by thanking, reassuring and re-inviting our customers back to the store through Aldo Crew and email capture.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Related work experience: previous retail experience a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Trendsetter who understands today's ever-changing fashion landscape.

• Be able to work flexible hours based on your state or province

• Able to bend, climb ladders, lift and move boxes up to 35 lb (≈16 kg)

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
