Requirements:Job Summary: Consultant III is a senior level position with responsibility for leading client engagements across multiple market sectors in support of client objectives in the areas of Strategic Planning, Asset Management, Sustainability, Resiliency, Organizational Performance, Process Improvement, Assessment, Business Process Reengineering, and related studies and analyses. The Strategic Consulting (SC) Sector focuses on providing leadership to public and private sector organizations that allows them to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of managing the built environment. Typical engagements range from nationwide studies and implementation of strategic asset management programs to business process re-engineering and portfolio optimization. This position contributes to developing the SC sector and growing both personnel and market share in support of internal Woolpert opportunities and external client needs.
Essential Functions: The ideal candidate is a senior level individual with recognized credentials and expertise in management consulting focused on the built environment. This individual will have demonstrated experience and expertise in developing successful approaches to public and private sector clients that are consistent with the capabilities, services, and expertise within Woolpert’s Strategic Consulting Sector. Services may range from Strategic Planning through Design, Program Management, and Asset Management Advisory Services.
The individual’s breadth of experience will include previous assignments or relationships at very senior levels within a consulting organization focused on both public and private sector clients. They demonstrate a capability to identify opportunities and develop successful pursuit and capture strategies for service types commensurate with those currently provided and envisioned by Woolpert.
This position is a seller/doer position that may or may not have direct reports but is expected to provide mentorship to lower-level consultants in their area of expertise and in general consulting skills and typically has personal performance metrics that incorporate both business development and project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
- Proven and dynamic leadership capabilities.
- Ability to influence results through the individual’s efforts in the market.
- Demonstrated business and personnel management abilities.
- Proven ability to work within a collaborative, team environment and coordinate activities between program components.
- Ability to interact with and direct senior personnel and effectively manage and supervise a staff.
- Ability to travel as necessary to meet project and business development requirements.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and be self-directed.
- Functional expertise in the use of basic automation systems (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Senior level experience or expertise in a large consulting practice providing work types and services similar to those of service offering competitors.
- Demonstrated ability through previous service to develop and execute key opportunities with identified clients.
- National level exposure and relationships in relevant consulting organizations (IFMA, IDRC, BSI, ASTM, etc.).
- Nationally recognized through prior position, articles, writing, publications, and speaking within the Asset Management and Advisory Service Markets.
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to travel as required.
