What you will be doing in the role of Service Engineering:

• Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• On-site services including configuration, system installation, start-up services, system upgrades and preventative maintenance of process automation solutions
• Providing customized training for plant personnel
• Providing telephone consultation on process automation problems
• Following through with customer maintenance contract work
• Providing troubleshooting expertise to resolve process automation problems
• Maintaining sound working relationships with customer’s personnel in various functional departments, such as: engineering, purchasing and maintenance
• Maintaining and following ISO procedures
• Maintenance of Lakeside support infrastructure including software/hardware installation of new equipment set-up
• Providing a premier level of customer service
• Handling all customer complaints immediately, including participation in 24 hours emergency support rotation
• Promoting a team approach within Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.

Knowledge and skills required for the role:

• Engineering or Technologist degree in Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline
• Three (3+) years’ experience pertaining to the service, maintenance, and configuration of automation solutions in process industries
• Proficiency in automation software including PLC, HMI and DCS applications
• Preferred: Experience with DeltaV or Ovation DCS
• Knowledge of process control, reliability and instrumentation
• Understanding of electronics and basic electrical requirements
• Experience with troubleshooting of computer hardware and its peripherals
• Strong oral and written communication skills, report writing
• Training and presentation skills
• Team orientation
