Who we are looking for to join the team:
Journeyman electrician with commercial experience.
Duties
Read blueprints or technical diagrams
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment
Follow policies, procedures, safety rules, and federal and state laws.
Complete simple and/or complex critical electrical tie-ins and outages.
Be able to inspect and replace faulty wires, electrical systems, or components to determine condition and identify repairs needed.
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Complete all daily reports, work orders and timesheets using service iPad.
Qualifications, Education, And Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of one (5+) years relevant work experience in a heavy commercial setting (Strongly Recommended)
- Complete understanding of using an iPad.
- Working Knowledge of conduit bends and wire pulls.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, machines, and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and comprehend complicated blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks
- Must be familiar with the National Electric Codes, electrical theory, and be comfortable working with high voltage three phase circuits, generators, transformers, switch gear
- Outstanding ability to use various testing devices related to the electrical and mechanical trades
- Exceptional ability to work on projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required
- Experience with, and comprehensive knowledge of a facility lock-out / tag-out program. (Compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 control of hazardous energy)
- Prefer a minimum of four (4) hours formal training on the NFPA-70E code, understand arc-flash dynamics, hazard analysis, and PPE requirements for potential hazards.
- OSHA 10 and 30 certification (preferred)
- Must have a current valid driver s license
- Must pass a background check of driving record.
- Outstanding effective interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a quality team member in a demanding service environment
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional, effective manner
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Must have tools needed to complete task in your trade.
- Must be able to think outside the box and trouble shoot.
- Be able to work on a flexible schedule
- Great communicator with customer

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, 20 or more times per day and constantly move about on the feet.
- Climb ladders of all types.
- Complete full day assignments involving overhead work.
- Possess good vision, normal or corrected.
- Must be capable of securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
- Possess good hearing, normal or corrected.
- Must be able to positively identify different colors of wiring
