Service Technician Trainee
Are you a mechanically oriented person looking to grow your career in Oil & Gas? Great North Wellhead and Frac is looking to build a team of service technicians for its continually expanding operations across Alberta. You’ll receive on the job training to get you started on your career path!
Training will begin in our Edmonton location, which will be followed by a rotation of training in our Grande Prairie, Red Deer & Bonnyville Locations. Upon completion of training, you will be assigned to the area that best suits your interests and skill set.
Job-type: Full-Time
Edmonton Training Schedule: 8 hours
Rotational Training Schedule: Varied up to 14 hours (site dependant)
Salary Range:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Attend 2 weeks training in Edmonton
- Attend 2 weeks rotational training at various locations in Alberta
- Accept lawful instruction given regarding work, training, and instruction in the workplace.
- Abide by the applicable policies and procedures.
- Installation and operation of various tools and equipment.
- Maintain appropriate standards of cleanliness for all equipment and work spaces
Qualifications
- Entry level job – No experience required
- Willingness to learn
- Valid Class 5 license required
- Must be willing to relocate to one of the field stores upon graduation from the Training Academy
- Grande Prairie
- Red Deer
- Bonnyville
- H2S, Standard First Aid with CPR Level C, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO) considered an asset but not required.
- Steel toe boots are provided by the candidate
- Mechanical background
- Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety.
- Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
