The Software Developer is accountable for analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of applications to ensure and/or maintain alignment with the DKI Canada membership strategies.
We are looking for a developer to implement and maintain DKI Canada’s critical applications and proprietary web solutions.

Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities

• · Analyze, design, and develop based on feature requirements.
• · Perform impact analysis for feature being introduced
• · Accountable to modules developed
• · Adhere to secure and standard coding practices
• · Adhere to development process
• · Co-ordinate with team members in SDLC
• · Source Code Version Control
• · Developing multi-tier technology solutions
• · Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
• · Good collaboration and multi-tasking capabilities
• · Working knowledge of resource planning and project management

Customer Support

• · Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully communicate with the software’s user-base
• · Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DKI Canada’s proprietary software.
• · Effectively Manage DKI Canada’s Application Support Desk, and handle Level-2 support tickets in a timely manner

Quality Control of Web Solutions

• · Working knowledge of program debugging, to ensure a quality product is released to our users
• · Collaborate with team members to uncover and correct any bugs or inefficiencies within the software

Software Development

• · Task management with the Jira software management program
• · Self-motivated and self-sufficient management of personal tasks and responsibilities
• · Ability to deliver a quality product, within expected timelines
• · Proficient development within Visual Studios, coding in C# language for ASP.NET software
• · Localization and Internationalization of software
• · Research new technologies, third-party products/plug-in/service and custom development for betterment of DKI Canada products.
• · Working knowledge of Git-Hub Version Control

Competencies required to succeed:

• · Post-Secondary Education Diploma or Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or similar.
• · Knowledge of, and experience in:
• o ASP.NET
• o C#
• o Microsoft Visual Studio development tools
• o Web application development including peripheral integration
• o Web service protocols (JSON, SOAP)
• o Third-party libraries and API’s
• o Remote data via REST and JSON
• o Secure coding practices
• o Agile / iterative development methodologies
• o Ability to manage coding version control, utilizing GitHub
• o Experience with Application Insights will be a plus point
• · 5 years or more professional experience in Software Development.
• · Excellent coding and proofreading skills.
• · Ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision.
• · Ability to work collaboratively, as well as independently, and manage their time effectively to deliver tasks within expected timelines
• · Passion for self-growth and continuing education. Desire to expand their software development knowledge and skill set, to grow within the DKI Canada organization

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
