We are looking for a creative and talented Software Developer in Test (SDT) to help us create and enhance our automated testing coverage and infrastructure. Technical Stack: Javascript (React, Node), Jest, Cypress, Cucumber


Responsibilities

  • Work with a cross functional team of software developers, designers, and product managers to identify gaps in our automated testing coverage and improve the quality of our software

  • Participate meaningfully in code reviews, design reviews, and solution ideation from a quality and automation perspective

  • Provide effort estimates for related automated testing tasks during project and feature estimation exercises

  • Help the engineering team improve software quality and accountability through automated tests, testing tools, test data generation and propagation, and training

  • Aid in the investigation and reproduction of customer facing issues and further guard against recurrence

  • Design and write clean, testable, high quality code

Key Skills and Experience

  • 3 years of automated test development experience

  • Experience with popular Javascript testing tools, including Jest, Cypress and/or Selenium, Cucumber

  • Experience in developing automated tests for APIs, end-to-end/system requirements, and UI/UX workflows

  • Experience with different development patterns

  • Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code

  • Experience in system debugging and secure coding practices

Additional skills that would be great to have

  • Experience as a developer working in javascript (React, Node in particular)

  • Experience working as an exploratory tester

  • Experience working in different software development and management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc)

  • Experience in developing automated tests for accessibility, security, load and performance testing

  • Familiarity with various AWS tools such as EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, RDS

  • Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases especially MongoDB, Postgres, and DynamoDB

  • Exposure to Gitlab pipelines
