A little about this position:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Via Ferrata.
- Help meet the financial goals of the activity.
- Hire and train all staff members for the activity to ensure the number one concern of safety.
- Operate and maintain the Via Ferrata and all components in a manner that is safe and enjoyable for the participant through safety instruction and route guiding, course organization and gear explanation.
Requirements:
- Must be at least a high school graduate or possess equivalent experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Previous experience as a mountaineering guide or as an adventure sports coach.
- Expert rope handling skills are required and a minimum of 7 years mountaineering experience.
- Must be able to identify object dangers associated in mountaineering.
- Must have self-rescue knowledge.
- Must have experience in rope anchoring and haul systems.
- Accomplished and experienced in Trad, Ice, Alpine climbing.
- Must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people and confidence in ability to instruct groups and enforce procedures.
- Experience leading children/adults and a passion for working with kids.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
