Job Description:
Summary:
  • This individual will be associated with the Risk program at SVB to enable transformation and growth. Responsibilities include alignment with business stakeholders, partnering with cross-functional partners, and owning technical execution/successful value delivery. Applying agile and lean principles, following scrum practices, coaching/training team members on Agile methodology, and continuous improvement to build high performing teams are a key aspect of the role.
Responsibilities:
  • Support our mission to continuously improve by leading empirical process control - providing transparency, facilitating inspections, and leading adaption
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, leaders, peers and team member to foster a culture which champions respect, empathy, responsibility, integrity and continuous learning and improvement
  • Lead the day-to-day operationalization of the company's agile transformation, vision and strategy on one or more agile teams, including facilitation of agile events and ceremonies
  • Champion transparency with Business, Product and Technology organization about development and grow trust
  • Leverage tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence) to elicit and define business and technical requirements, track requirements, prioritize features, curate content, sequence deliverables into sprints, and report progress
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues to achieve goals at various levels throughout the organization and lead others to do so by example
  • Partner with other Scrum leaders to increase the effectiveness of Scrum throughout the organization
  • Facilitate discussion at the team level to resolve impediments, identify alternatives to mitigate team challenges
  • Autonomously create a team environment founded with trust and good rapport across multi-dimension teams to sustain an environment of psychological safety which focuses on delivering business value with ensuring high quality solutions and low technical debt
  • Provide a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around her/him
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree [Technology or Related field preferred]
  • 5+ years of experience serving as Project Manager/Scrum Master in Scrum/Kanban teams chartered with planning and delivering software solutions, such as online and mobile user experiences, underlying transactional systems, and integrating disparate systems Certifications [preferred]
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner Knowledge [preferred]
  • Experience with working teams in adhering to Agile/Scrum/Lean concepts and principles
  • Experience with Risk functions – Fraud, Sanctions, KYC, AML, Compliance [preferred]
  • Experience with banking audit and regulatory practices; ensuring fully compliant with corporate standards
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Planview, or similar
  • Must be able to lead by example and demonstrate value-add principles to product development scrum team(s)
  • Possesses excellent inter-personal skills with amazing written/verbal communication skills
  • Quantifiable experience with problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor all roles on a development scrum team competencies

Base Pay:
$99,646.00 - $149,469.00
Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
