Our client, a well know Retail and Fashion Brand, is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team! In this role, you will be working collaboratively across the organization on a daily basis.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$28 – $35/hr
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Manager of Accounting with a direct line to the CFO.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership in running audits
- Reconciliation of monthly accounts to ensure accurate reports and ledger maintenance
- Perform monthly bank settlements
- Organize and update financial records
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s)
- Familiarity with software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
