Job description
Magleby Construction is seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our Finance team.
This individual reports to the Controller and performs various accounting and finance related tasks.
Duties may include:
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts
- Perform job costing duties
- Help with various forecasts
- Learn ERP and help with data extraction
- File non-income tax returns
- Oversee intercompany accounting
- Cash and treasury tasks
- Assist with the financial statement closing process
- Credit card administration and expense coding
- Otherwise assist Controller as needed
Job Requirements:
Successful individuals possess the following attributes:
- Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant accounting role
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of accounting information systems, including MS Dynamics Business Central a plus
- Report writing skills a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently with little to no supervision
