Production Worker

Shift Times for Production Worker:

• Must rotate between 2 shifts, weekly (night shift will be starting soon), where you will rotate between all 3 shifts.
• Days 6:00am to 2:00pm
• Afternoons 2:00pm to 10:00pm
• Nights 10:00pm to 6:00am

Responsibilities for Production Worker:

• Operates machinery, equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure machine guards are in place and material is handled in a safe manner
• Operation of Overhead Cranes
• Use of a measuring tape to check material lengths and bends in steel
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements for Production Worker:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon job offer
• Occasional heavy lifting – up to 50lbs
• Must be comfortable working in the yards and shops with the steel that is very dirty
• Must have CSA safety boots/shoes
• Must wear appropriate safety equipment as specified (which includes hard hat and ear plugs)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, general labour or construction environment (1 – 3 years)
• Previous overhead crane or fork truck operating experience is considered an asset
• Must be able to attend a 3 hour orientation in Fort Erie (paid for 8 hours)

Pay Rate for Production Worker:

• $22.15 per hour
• Afternoons has a shift premium of $0.50 per hour
• Nights has a shift premium of $0.60 per hour
