Storeroom Attendant B - 2nd shift

Summary/Purpose
To provide support for manufacturing daily operations by issuing items and controlling inventory levels.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Distribute and assist customers with storeroom items
  • Process the issuing, receiving, and replenishing of stockroom supplies
  • Verify the quantity, quality and location of supplies that are received, ordered, and transferred
  • Maintain and verify inventory accuracy by reviewing supplies that are issued, ordered, transferred and received daily. Make adjustments as needed based on the dollar amount.
  • Coordinate monthly, annual, and emergency facility maintenance service orders
  • Schedule maintenance repairs for forklifts and air systems as needed
  • Provide quotes from suppliers for the maintenance department
  • Register supplies as requested by the maintenance department
  • Process incoming and outgoing transfers from plant to plant
  • Maintain printers/computers for proper usage
  • Process Jig and Tool work orders
  • Prepare rework items for shipment
  • Run daily usage report
  • Process daily usage slips
  • Verify weekly procurement
  • Notify individuals to pick up special orders or transfers
  • Prepare and deliver line boxes to production as needed
  • Maintain 5-S
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • This position is responsible for supervising a department of five exempt employees in accordance with policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 to 3 years previous storeroom experience.

  • Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
  • Travel by automobile and plane required approximately10-20% of time.
