We are currently looking for a Full-time Surgery Care Coordinator.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Work with patients, surgeons, and facilities in the scheduling of surgery.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all administrative details related to the surgery are handled appropriately.
  • Discuss with patients the pre-operative requirements and to schedule the surgery at the correct hospital/surgery center.
  • Work with the patient's insurance company to determine coverage and to arrange any necessary referrals and prior authorizations.
  • Coordinate all surgery details with internal Eye Associates departments, as well as with the hospital where the surgery will take place, and ensures that the physician has all the appropriate patient paperwork.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Demonstrates a caring attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Very organized and detail oriented.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to maintain composure while juggling multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Team player.
  • Flexible about working hours.
  • Experience in a medical environment with knowledge of medical terminology, as well as PC experience.
  • Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred.
