Tasting Room Associate (Top associates make up to $60/hr)

Tasting Room Associates at Rhinory have the ability to pour some of the finest wines crafted in Texas and South Africa, all while enjoying our brand-new facility and getting interactive with our first (of many!) Rhino’s, Blake.

We are looking for motivated team players that love hospitality and know how to take amazing care of guests. We’re unique and want to build a team that isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty. If you’re up for the challenge, please read on.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Greet visitors with warm Texas hospitality

- Guide guests through our wine tastings, sharing stories, details, and notes on each wine

- Share our vision, passion, and commitment to saving Rhino’s around the world

- Develop relationships with guests, club members, and industry partners

- Use our POS system (Commerce 7) to capture contact information, charge credit cards, and accurately sign-up club members

- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment

- Complete opening, closing, and mid-shift duties as assigned

- Stock, organize, and inventory retail merchandise and retail wines

Qualifications

- Must be able to work weekends

- 21 or older

- Hospitality experience preferred

- Passion for wine

- Possess oral and written communications skills and technical ability to perform and manage assigned functions

- Proficient in cash handling, making change, and basic math

- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds (a case of wine)

- Ability to stand for long periods of time

- TABC Seller-Server Certification required within 30 days of hiring

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
