8-hour shifts. Please note that the hours of work are approximate and are schedules are subject to change depending on operational needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Trauma Coordinator provides leadership to facilitate and coordinate a system of trauma care at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) and the region. The Trauma Coordinator collaborates with providers and stakeholders in the Regional Trauma Network (RTN) across the province of Ontario, to provide managerial support to the trauma program and all RTN-related activities within their hospital. The Trauma Coordinator fosters and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders across the trauma care continuum at the provincial, regional, district and community level.
The Trauma Coordinator is a leader who works closely with Medical Director, Data Analyst, and other related stakeholders. The Trauma Coordinator develops and executes plans to implement the trauma program within the hospital, and ensures the requirements outlined in the MOH funding letter are met.
The Trauma Coordinator is responsible for the organization of services and cross-organization systems necessary for an interprofessional approach to providing care to injured patients. Partnership in injury prevention activities at the regional level is also a key aspect to the role
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Baccalaureate level Health Care professional required
Masters prepared Health Care Professional preferred
Previous program management experience required
Current clinical experience in Trauma Care as a hands-on provider
Completion of OHA management courses or equivalent would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members and community providers
Experience in project planning, implementation, and evaluation required
WHO YOU ARE:
Current knowledge of trauma best practice and the system of trauma care in Ontario
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent knowledge of evidence-based protocols of Stroke Care
Knowledge of research methodology, process improvement theory, and adult education principles.
Demonstrated success as a change agent.
Computer literate in such software as Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, EPIC
Demonstrated project management skills
