POSITION SUMMARY
Matthews International is seeking an Over-the-road Driver to join our Distribution Team in Aurora, Indiana for our memorialization business segment. The ideal candidate will have over the road commercial driving experience.
The OTR Truck Driver will be responsible for the delivery of caskets to our customers, Distribution Hubs, and vendors regionally as well as over long distances in various states.
Competitive Starting Rate of 19.20 hourly with a .563c mile pay with additional reimbursement options and opportunities for increases. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be driving company memorialization products regionally or nationally primarily to our Major Distribution HUBS across the country.
- You will be interacting with customers, externally and internal employees on a daily basis.
- You will be responsible to comply with Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
Our Drivers are home on average 3 days a week. Some weekend availability may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of previous driving experience of a Class A vehicle.
- Commercial Driver License, CDL A license.
- Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
- Routine travel either locally or nationally.
- Completion of a training course at an accredited truck driving school preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
- Often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel or exhaust.
- Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to whole body vibration when driving a truck.
- Sometimes exposed to sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
