Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for daily appointments
• Assist veterinarian with examinations, treatments, surgeries, handling, and restraint
• Cleaning of medical supplies, exam room, etc.
• Running diagnostics inlab/outlab
• Phlebotomy
• Complete/fill out electronic medical records and invoices
• Computer data entry of patient records
• Assist with diagnostics, ultrasound, and k-laser
• Occasional office/reception/scribe duties
• Rotate through appointments or surgery department
• Dental prophy and dental radiographs
• Patient discharges
• Medication refills
• Patient admissions/discharges - helping clients understand what their pet will experience during the day and portraying the value of our services.
• Filling out of anesthetic monitoring notes.
• Opening and Closing of the surgery suite.
• Cleaning and packing surgical packs in a timely manner.
• Understands usage and dosage for all prescription drugs and can readily explain them to the clients. Also dispenses prescribed medications.
• Performs emergency procedures such as control of bleeding, resuscitation with oxygen, opening airways, and external cardiac massage.
• Opportunity to rotate between rooms or be a consistent Surgical Technician.
• Opportunity for growth in Dentistry and Dental Radiographs.
• Other duties as assigned

Our organization is looking for a Surgical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the operating room and be able to assist surgeons during procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, sterilizing and setting up instruments, and assisting with patient positioning. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operations.
• Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery.
• Provide assistance to surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures.
• Ensure that all instruments and supplies are available for use during surgery.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after surgery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $36,360.00 per year
