This position is relied upon for constructing and delivering content that is engaging and meets different levels of attendee proficiency. This is an 18-24 month project position


The Employment Connections Division (EC) supports the mission and vision by providing operational support to Washington’s one-stop delivery system. This position plans, designs and delivers specialized training for the Workforce Integrated Technology (WIT) customer management system that will be used by staff across 40 plus offices in the WorkSource system. This position will work alongside a team of IT professionals and staff from multiple Divisions as the WIT system is being designed and built and will be responsible for creating training curriculum and tools to support successful implementation and usage by WorkSource system staff. Training will consist of e-Learning and Instructor Led sessions using applications including MS PowerPoint, Articulate 360, or other software to deliver training.

Duties

  • As a senior level subject matter expert, plan, design develop and implement statewide virtual and in person eLearning and classroom training.
  • Develop a variety of reference materials to compliment training and support WIT system users ongoing.
  • Develop a training model that creates greater capacity to provide on-going training and support to hundreds of WIT system users within the agency and partner organizations

Qualifications

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, computer science, adult education or related field AND five years of experience developing and delivering training with two years preferably related to technical IT training.


Additional Requirement of Employment:

  • Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Claim & Benefit Information Review.
  • Must be able to travel as needed (The selected candidate can be located anywhere in the state and will predominately work from home, with statewide travel being an expectation).
  • Per Gov. Inslee’s Directive 22-13.1, employees of ESD must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine series.
