The City of Coquitlam’s Facilities division is currently seeking a Temporary Full Time Work Control Clerk. This is a wonderful opportunity for an administrative professional who is looking to gain administrative experience of moderate complexity. If you are organized and accurate, and like to maintain working relationships with internal and external contacts, this position is for you!
Reporting to the Office Supervisor, our successful candidate will be responsible for creating, checking, entering and verifying data on the computerized operations management system. They will be working with various payroll and financial and related reporting systems, while maintaining a variety of manual and computer files and reports. You will be responding to telephone and email inquiries, and undertaking special projects and assignments. Experience using a computerized maintenance management system and invoicing administration experience is a definite asset.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be proficient in data entry, have strong communication skills (both verbally and in written form) and provide top notch customer service. If you have these skills, we look forward to your application!
Our Work Control Clerk will have received a high school diploma (or equivalent) including or supplemented by commercial, accounting clerical and introductory personal computer courses, plus sound related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A driver’s license for the province of BC is required (with satisfactory driving record).

The CUPE hourly rate for this position is $26.87-$31.56 (2022 rates) plus 6% in lieu of benefits. The City has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
