ELITE Transit Solutions is hiring an Account Manager in Charlotte to manage our specialty customer's from pickup to delivery!


ABOUT THE ROLE-Account Manager:

Account Managers (AMs) operate as the lead point of contact for all matters on assigned customers. The AM is directly responsible for maintaining customer relationships that retain and grow revenue and profitability. An AM will broker and manage our customer’s freight from pickup to delivery. As an AM, you will be responsible for negotiating the most competitive rates for our customer’s shipping needs, while also maintaining responsibility for successful delivery of each customer’s freight.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be responsible to achieve assigned KPI’s based on the daily/weekly/monthly targets.
  • Maintain book of business on assigned accounts to include recovering any fall-off.
  • Negotiate rates and secure carriers/drivers for freight needing to be delivered.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Deliver at or above customer contractual SLA’s.
  • Retain existing customers by utilizing proactive approach to customer service and solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews leveraging internal data analytics to gain insight on customer level performance and use the data to help our customers improve their business.
  • Oversee assigned freight, from pickup to delivery, providing real-time information to all stakeholders.
  • Resolve problems for carriers and clients using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and remain current on industry and market trends with objective of industry expertise.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years account management or related experience
  • Experience or working knowledge of the logistics market is preferred.
  • Ability to develop “trusted advisor” relationships with customers.
  • Strong negotiating and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Driven to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong desire to serve customer needs.
  • 4-year degree from accredited university preferred.
