Accent Inns is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our flock of totally unique and fun- loving individuals at our Head Office (aka Rebel Base) in Victoria BC. Reporting to the Controller, the successful applicant will assist in supporting transactional processing in the Finance and Admin Department.
Key responsibilities include:

• Invoice data entry - we have a virtual filing cabinet, and we are paperless!
• Responding to queries from Vendors regarding payments
• Utilize accounting software programs (e.g., Doclink, SAGE 300) for routine AP duties such as:
• Create & track Electronic Fund Transfer files
• Importing and posting payment batches
• Print cheques
• Entering budget into Sage software
• Keeping financial support records updated
• Bank and other General Ledger reconciliation support
• Month-end duties such as:
• Posting pre-authorized payment transactions
• Assist with accounting for expenses purchased by Petty Cash, Visa or employees
• General financial accounting duties
• Ad hoc reporting

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Accounting, together with some experience in an accounting role but experience is not required. Must have strong communication skills, a can-do flexible attitude, be highly organized, be a stickler for details and most importantly be a fun- loving team player. Being a team player becomes very important during our busy month-end; we all have each other’s backs!

Salary: $37,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
