Piccolo Mondo is a fine dining establishment that has served the Dallas Fort Worth community for close to 40 years. We have a reputation for high end service and a five star experience. We are searching for individuals who are willing to be trained on how to prepare classic cocktails and serve our authentic Italian cuisine. This job would require a moderate amount of lifting (boxes of wine, glass racks, cases of beer, trays of food and ice buckets) and requires a limited knowledge of tending bar. We are happy to train those with limited experience. We do require that our employees speak fluent English and have a general knowledge of the hospitality business.

The position pays per hour + tips and you are likely to work 20+ hours/week. We are currently looking to hire 2 Bartenders and 2 servers and each must be available for weekend evening shifts. The position involves interacting with clientele, properly serving dinners, providing a fine dining experience and stocking inventory throughout the week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate
