Job description

The bellman/porter responsibilities include assisting guests with luggage, meeting and greeting guests upon arrival and departure, provide assistance to front desk staff, as well as providing lobby doors coverage. We are looking for someone that has a real passion for service orientated work, loves helping guests, has a positive attitude, caring, and that anticipates guests needs. You must have previous bellman experience.

• Greeting arriving guests and retrieving their luggage.
• Escorting guests to their rooms, explaining the room facilities
• Deliver luggage, messages, faxes, packages to guests and to undertake various other requests to ensure their comfort
• Deliver individual gift bags to groups guest rooms
• Deliver packages to various arears throughout the hotel
• Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for.
• Assist with keeping lobby area clean and orderly
• Ensure that luggage has been stored safely according to prescribed procedures
• Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel
• Provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service
• Other duties as required
• Keep the bellcloset always organized
• Basic maintenance knowledge, i.e., how to trouble shoot TV, door locks, and bathroom issues
• Patrol the hotel grounds and notify the FD of any suspicious activity
• Patrol grounds for litter or trash
• Assist FD with ensuring that guests are parking in the correct arears
• Ensure areas are stocked up, ex retail area, hand sanitizers, etc.
• Light front desk duties such as answering the phones and handling checkouts
• Great penmenship
• An eye for design

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
