Eggleston is currently seeking applicants for Chief Financial Officer in Norfolk, VA. 8:00AM - 4:30PM

The Chief Financial Officer will provide leadership and coordination in the business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the organization. This includes but is not limited to tax planning, real estate, optimization of revenue, preparation of corporate statements, and presentation of financial reports to both the board and management; as well as ensuring the accuracy and timely issuance of the annual audited financial statements and tax returns. In addition, the CFO responsibilities include: ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations; managing the accounting department and its personnel, budget preparation and approval at both the company, divisional and department levels; preparing and supervising the annual audit process, communication with the external auditors, ledger, and account maintenance; developing and implementing new procedures; designing, assessing and maintaining internal controls; and providing support to planning initiatives.

Qualified applicants will possess an active Virginia CPA license.
Additional preference will be given for applicants with:

• Public accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and ADP accounting systems
• Candidates with more than five (5) years of experience in a management level finance or accounting position in a for profit or not for profit setting

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a strategic thinking candidate with a high level of leadership ability. While the majority of duties will be conducted at the Norfolk corporate office, there will also be travel to other Eggleston and business locations in the Hampton Roads area. Successful candidate will have the physical ability to work in an office environment. Must have the ability to: Effectively manage, train, and supervise assigned personnel, communicate very effectively with staff members and department heads; use a computer to research, gather, and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, projections, and statements/metrics for our many business divisions as well as senior management and the Board of Directors; make quick decisions; resolve conflict, conduct contract negotiations, and make effective presentations. Pre-Employment drug testing, clearance through a criminal background investigation, a credit check and acceptable driving record required.
The compensation plan is based on a competitive base salary commensurate with the experience and the demonstrated accomplishments of the successful candidate and will reflect the opportunity of the organization.
