Position: CONSTRUCTION FIELD COORDINATOR
Salary: $62,837 - $93,382
Under general direction to observe and report all phases of the construction or rehabilitation of multi-unit and multi-level housing and related structures and of
related streets and utilities for conformance to plans, specifications, and code requirements; to troubleshoot technical problems; and to do related work as

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES:
Two-year degree from a college or technical school and four years of experience in building construction, building inspection, building maintenance or a related
field; or six years of experience in building construction, building inspection, building maintenance or a related field.
Candidates with accreditation earned in foreign institutes are encouraged to apply
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate projects with other MDHA departments;
- Coordinate with insurance companies as applicable;
- Assist development of project scope;
- Read and interpret plans and specifications, and may assist in their preparation;
- Inspect and review shop drawings;
- Observe and write reports (minimum 2 per week per project) regarding construction or rehabilitation of buildings;
- Observe the work of various craftsmen to insure installation of building components is in conformance with plans and specifications;
- Provide notice to contractor(s) of non-conforming work and ensure the correction of non-conforming work;
- Participate in the final project punch-out and warranty reviews;
- Assist with micro-purchases;
- Review contractor invoices and track against budget;
- Maintain checklists of attic stock, training for maintenance, and commissioning;
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Director or Senior Project Manager.

Maintain effective working relationships with professional, technical, and craft workers.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of construction principles as applied to the inspection of multi-level structures; knowledge of building construction materials, methods, and
equipment; ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural specifications and commercial standards; ability to inspect work and determine the degree
of compliance to plans, specifications, codes, and craft methods; ability to use various computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Physical Skills:
Willingness and mental and physical ability to perform the duties involved in this classification. Ability to perform work with or without an accommodation that
requires some physical exertion such as walking, climbing, bending, stooping, stretching or similar activity; dexterity of hands and clarity of vision, speech and
hearing and powers of observation; other physical duties as required.
