Job Description:
The primary focus of this position is to design, program, troubleshoot, implement and test the electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery.
This includes but is not limited to:
- PLC Programming
- HMI Programming
- Motor control with VFDs -Preferred
- Electrical Schematic Design (AutoCAD Electrical) - preferred
- Panel Layout and Design
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree, Technical School degree, or equivalent proven work experience in control software design and implementation. Packaging machinery control software design experience is a plus.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Minimum 5 years of automation controls and programming experience
- Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD electrical design software
- PLC programming experience preferably Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron.
- Working knowledge of machine control & data acquisition systems including I/O hardware, signal conditioning, field devices & sensors
- Ability to work on a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, engineering, and field services
- Position requires ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form
